Emerald Green Media is excited to announce that our festive campaign for Belfast’s iconic Bittles Bar has officially taken home the title of Best Low Budget Campaign at the UK Content & PR Awards 2025.
The campaign was also shortlisted in a second prestigious category — Video Content Campaign of the Year — placing our small but mighty team alongside some of the biggest names in UK content and PR.
Filmed in the heart of Belfast, the Bittles Bar Christmas Advert 2024 set out to capture the spirit of community, character, and connection — something that resonated deeply with audiences across Northern Ireland and beyond.
What began as a passion project quickly became one of the most talked-about festive ads of the season, proving that meaningful storytelling doesn’t need a blockbuster budget to have a lasting impact.
Despite a modest £1,250 production budget, the campaign earned over 250,000 combined views across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube without any paid ads.
The advert was featured in publications like The Irish News and the Belfast News Letter, and was widely shared by the community.
John Bittles received a noticeable increase in visitors during the Christmas period, with several customers referencing the advert.
The campaign was a perfect example of low-budget creativity executed with professional quality, strong storytelling, and viral appeal.
The UK Content & PR Awards celebrate the most innovative, impactful campaigns and agencies across the UK. The Best Low Budget Campaign category shines a spotlight on teams who do more with less — delivering exceptional outcomes with clever thinking, creativity, and minimal resources.
