We are recruiting a Freelance Social Media Presenter to work with our team on creating engaging social media videos.

Emerald Green Media Ltd is a digital media company that owns several influential websites, including Ireland Before You Die and Meanwhile in Ireland.

These websites began in 2014, but Emerald Green Media was founded in 2019 to bring them all under one company.

Ireland Before You Die (IB4UD) is our main website, and it is Ireland’s most popular independent travel and culture website.

Meanwhile in Ireland is one of Ireland’s biggest culture and satirical news websites.

We are recruiting a Freelance Social Media Presenter to work with our team on creating engaging social media videos. The ideal candidate must be excited about interviewing strangers on the street.

If you thrive in front of the camera, have a passion for storytelling, and enjoy engaging with diverse audiences through interviews, mini-documentaries, and on-the-street interactions, we want you to be the face of our exciting social media content.

Responsibilities

As a Freelance Social Media Presenter, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. On-Camera Presence:

• Serve as the engaging and dynamic on-screen host for various social media content.
• Conduct interviews, host mini-documentaries, and interact with strangers on the street to create captivating and shareable content.

2. Content Creation:

• Collaborate with the content team to develop compelling storylines and concepts.
• Bring creativity and energy to on-screen presentations, making content relatable and engaging.

3. Interviewing Skills:

• Conduct interviews with a diverse range of individuals, including experts, influencers, and members of the public.
• Foster a comfortable and conversational atmosphere during interviews to elicit authentic responses.

4. On-Location Shoots:

• Travel to Belfast for on-location shoots as needed.
• Ensure preparedness for shoots, including script review and familiarity with shoot locations.

5. Confidence and Charisma:

• Display confidence, charisma, and a natural ability to connect with the audience.
• Handle unexpected situations with grace and adaptability.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• Over 1 year of relevant experience as a presenter, host, or interviewer.
• A dynamic and engaging on-screen presence.
• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
• Confidence in on-the-street interactions and public engagements.

Contract Details

• Freelance position with flexibility in hours based on project requirements.
• Ability to travel to Belfast for on-location shoots.
• Ongoing collaboration based on project needs and performance.
