Emerald Green Media is on the lookout for a new person to help with social media, content creation, video editing, design, and campaign support. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants practical, real-world marketing experience.

Emerald Green Media Ltd is a digital media company behind some of Ireland’s most recognisable online brands, including Ireland Before You Die and Meanwhile in Ireland.

Our platforms reach millions of people every month across social media, websites, and email, covering travel, culture, entertainment, and Irish news. We work with major brands, tourism boards, hotels, restaurants, and small businesses across both B2C and B2B campaigns.

We’re now looking for a Freelance Marketing Assistant to support our growing team across multiple areas of digital marketing.

This is a fully remote role with full training provided, but you must already be comfortable using key social and creative tools.

The Role

As a Freelance Marketing Assistant, you’ll support day-to-day marketing activity across our media brands and client campaigns. This role is varied and hands-on, ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in digital marketing and media.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

1. Social Media Management

• Assisting with scheduling and publishing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
• Writing and adapting captions for B2C and B2B audiences
• Monitoring comments, messages, and engagement

2. Video Editing & Content Support

• Editing short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and social feeds
• Repurposing existing content into new formats
• Supporting content ideas based on trends and performance

3. Design & Creative

• Creating graphics and simple designs using Canva
• Assisting with branded templates, stories, and social posts

4. Marketing & Campaign Support

• Assisting with B2C and B2B marketing campaigns
• Supporting outreach, collaborations, and sponsored content
• Helping organise content, briefs, and marketing tasks

5. General Digital Support

• Working closely with the wider team to keep projects moving
• Following systems, checklists, and processes
• Supporting growth-focused marketing initiatives

Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proficiency in Canva
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok
• Experience with social media management
• Basic video editing skills for short-form content
• Good attention to detail and organisation
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A genuine interest in digital marketing, media, and content

Full training will be provided, but you must already be comfortable using the tools above.
