EGM’s flagship website, Ireland Before You Die, recently celebrated its tenth birthday. Over the past decade, its consistent growth and performance have seen it develop into Ireland’s most-read and trusted independent travel website.

Its unbridled growth and unparalleled success have now been recognised by the UK Digital Growth Awards, as Ireland Before You Die has earned EGM a nomination in the Travel/Leisure Website of the Year category.

The UK Digital Growth Awards celebrate success stories across the UK’s digital landscape. Not confined to faceless superpowers with unlimited resources, these awards champion those who have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps.

The awards feature a number of different categories, including Website of the Year, SEO Campaign of the Year, Best Use of Research, and Best Use of Data. A robust and transparent two-step judging process ensures fairness in determining the winner in each category.

Emerald Green Media has been shortlisted in the Travel/Leisure Website of the Year category at this year’s UK Digital Growth Awards, thanks to our flagship website, Ireland Before You Die.

Through the engaging content on our site and various social media platforms, we reach upwards of one million people, firmly establishing Ireland Before You Die as Ireland’s premier independent travel website.

That the nomination should come in 2024 is particularly poignant as Ireland Before You Die reached a significant milestone – its tenth birthday.

What began as a humble blog back in 2014 is today a trusted and beloved source of travel tips and information for visitors to Ireland.

Thanks to a small but mighty core team and a dedicated cohort of talented freelance writers, the site continues to go from strength to strength, and we are very grateful to the UK Digital Growth Awards for their recognition of this.

The awards ceremony – the important details

The awards are organised by Don’t Panic Events. The team also produce other prestigious awards in the UK, Europe, and even further afield, including the UK Company Culture Awards, the Paid Media Awards, and the Agency Award series.

This year’s award ceremony will take place at the recently renovated Montcalm Marble Arch Hotel in London on Thursday, 20 June 2024.

The event consists of a drinks reception, welcome speeches, a dinner, and finally, the centrepiece of the evening, the awards ceremony.
