Emerald Green Media hits another huge milestone as our Irish culture site, Meanwhile in Ireland, hits a whopping 800,000 followers on Facebook.

Meanwhile in Ireland packs no punches when it comes to Irish humour, culture, satire, and news.

As the website crosses the monumental milestone of 800,000 followers on Facebook, it’s clear that Meanwhile in Ireland has become one of the most prominent and beloved Irish culture sites in the world.

A recent surge in followers has also been thanks to but not solely reliant on the site’s brand new merchandise launch, a launch that saw Meanwhile in Ireland be shortlisted for an award at the Irish eCommerce Awards 2023.

Celebrating 800k Facebook followers – we did it!

Started with a mission to celebrate the unique humour, charm, and culture of the Emerald Isle, Meanwhile in Ireland quickly found its dedicated audience.

Featuring all things memes, funny videos, interesting and hilarious news articles and more, the site is visited by over 200,000 people every day.

While the follower count has been steadily growing for years, the team at Emerald Green Media are celebrating an 800k and growing follower count on the Meanwhile in Ireland Facebook page.

The growth of the page in recent months can be attributed to the hilarious social media and news articles, relatable memes, and the launch of Meanwhile in Ireland’s brand-new shop, a launch that saw the site shortlisted for an award at the Irish eCommerce Awards 2023.

Irish eCommerce Awards 2023 – a nod to the team’s dedication and hard work

The introduction of merchandise has been a game-changer for Meanwhile in Ireland. While the website’s content remains free and accessible to all, the merchandise store has enabled fans to bring a piece of Ireland into their lives.

From beautifully crafted Celtic jewellery to iconic clothing that represents many aspects of Irish lifestyle and culture, the range has resonated deeply with the audience.

As such, the 800k follower count goes hand in hand with Meanwhile in Ireland’s recent nomination.

The EGM team recently headed down to the Mansion House in Dublin for the Irish eCommerce Awards 2023 after receiving a nomination in the ‘Startup Website of the Year’ category.

While we didn’t win, just to be nominated is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the team in pushing and promoting the new shop and merchandise range to people who want to celebrate Irish culture all over the world.
